  1. Kathy Boyett, Library Asst.

    Hello Ms. Bragg,

My name is Kathy Boyett and I am the Library Assistant at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School located in the heart of Hollywood, Ca. We were awarded the 2012 Ed Pert Award for Middle Schools by California Readers. Bonnie O’Brian let me know that you were available to be our guest author. As a school, we are very excited to have you visit and share some of your ideas, thoughts as well as experience being a successful author.

The grant was written to include our entire school (K-8th). We will have a school performance highlighting many of the 100 California Collection books we received. For the younger grades we will use books with topics relating to the California Collection. Our hope is that your performance/visit could include two sessions, one for grades K-4th and the second for grades 6th – 8th. We would also like to invite Selma Elementary School, an LAUSD school located across the street from our school to be a part of the exciting event.

Could you take a look at your calendar and give me three dates you’d be available for your visit? A first, second, and third choice would be great. We can take at those dates and compare it to our school calendar. We are looking at any time after January 1, 2013. We would also like to try and sell some of your books prior to your visit and want to give parents and students plenty of time to order. You could bring the books when you visit and we will distribute them at that time. Having them autographed by you would be a nice touch that I am sure the students would love! Many of them have never owned an autographed book and this would be a first. When you get back to me could you also give me the price of the books?

I can be reached at: (cell) 818 823-8523, (school office) 323 467-4177 or my email – kboyett@schoolblessedsacrament.org. I look forward to hearing from you!

    Sincerely,
    Kathy Boyett
